My insurance company offered me a check soon after my loss – should I accept this as settling my claim?

No – we strongly recommend that you do not. Always get an expert advocate to review the insurance adjuster proposed settlement amount. It is not enough to do a quick, shallow review – digging into the details of true costs and understanding what is covered is crucial if you want the claim settled correctly.

My loss and claim amount are small – can you still help me?

Yes. While some home improvement contractors near Eureka, Fortuna, and Arcata will turn down minor claim work as being “too small and not worth their time,” we have a different philosophy.

Our mission is to serve ALL of our local community. Our Small Claims department is designed to help you with smaller projects.

What happens if I don’t have enough insurance?

This does happen, unfortunately. If you are under-insured, we assist you in getting what you are entitled to under your policy and then we move forward to help you find solutions.

Keep in mind we do have payment plan options that can cover shortfalls due to being under-insured. We can also help you finance any deductible you may have under the terms of your policy.

Remember, it is good to do a yearly audit of your homeowner policy to make sure you’re adequately covered.

Do I need to hire multiple companies to restore my home?

You could, but it is not necessary. In fact, trying to manage and coordinate multiple companies adds to stress and feelings of overwhelm as you go through the restoration process.
